Ships folded to conserve space. Set in the sun for at least 48 hours to restore the original shape. Use a smooth weight, such as a vinyl covered kettle bell on stubborn folds. We do not offer any guarantee of fitment on vehicles that have been in involved in accidents and/or have body damage or customization.
All side skirts offered by KBD are designed as aftermarket accessories intended for performance enhancement. KBD polyurethane is known for its durability and flexibility but still requires professional installation. While some drilling of mounting holes and trimming may be needed, additional polyurethane is not required for installation.
KBD side skirts are not “direct bolt-on” parts; they may require preparation such as sanding, shaving, filling gaps, or other custom bodywork. Installation may also involve modifications to vehicle components to ensure a proper fit. Side skirts that extend onto the rear quarter panel or front fender may require more extensive work, including custom fitting. In some cases, these side skirts may need to be attached with screws or other fasteners, which are not included and must be sourced separately for secure installation. Proper alignment is crucial for a seamless fit and long-term durability, particularly in high-stress areas.
For the best results, KBD side skirts are often best matched with front and rear bumpers of the same style, as most aftermarket styles sit lower to the ground than OEM components. Mixing aftermarket side skirts with OEM bumpers can result in a noticeable height difference that disrupts the visual flow of the vehicle.
While side skirts can improve the aerodynamics and aesthetics of your vehicle, KBD strongly recommends professional installation by a custom shop experienced in handling polyurethane components to ensure proper fitment and safety.
Please note that KBD side skirts are designed strictly for off-road and show applications. Due to stringent Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, many of these products are not street legal. KBD does not endorse or recommend the use of side skirts on public roads or highways.

Aftermarket FRP and carbon fiber hoods require auxiliary hood pins because composite material expands, contracts, and flexes differently than OEM metal. Over time, this can shift latch alignment, and at highway speeds the reduced weight of a composite hood combined with aerodynamic lift creates upward force on the leading edge. Hood pins provide a mandatory secondary safety measure that eliminates the single point of failure.
Why Aerocatch? Aerocatch latches are the industry standard because they sit nearly flush with the hood surface — no protruding pin shafts. They use a spring-loaded, quarter-turn locking mechanism that clicks into a detented, closed position, giving both visual and tactile confirmation that the hood is secure. Unlike traditional hood pins, there is no separate R-clip or lanyard to lose, and the integrated assembly is available in finishes that blend cleanly into painted or carbon-fiber hoods. Originally proven in FIA-sanctioned racing series, they carry motorsport-grade reliability onto street-driven builds.
Hood pins are typically installed at the leading edge of the hood, approximately 6–8 inches inward from each headlight corner, with a solid backing plate on the underside. Never install through unsupported laminate. Professional paint and body shop installation is strongly recommended; mount all hardware before painting to ensure proper alignment and sealant application.
Fiberglass parts always require prep work before they can be primed and painted. This product is made with fiberglass material; therefore, it will exhibit chips, breaks, cracks, waves, scratches and holes which require modification. It is necessary to dry fit and drill mounting holes and perform body work before painting. Cutting and adding fiberglass may be required for proper fitment. Ships direct from the manufacturer or a distributor. Primer finished. Hand layup is the manufacturing process used for the majority of our fiberglass parts. Hoods require hood pins. We do not offer any guarantee of fitment on vehicles that have been involved in accidents and/or have body damage or customization.
