Disclaimer
Duraflex fenders and fender flares are aftermarket accessories designed for track, show, and off-road use only. These components are not intended for use on public roads, and Duraflex disclaims any responsibility for damage, injury, or loss resulting from their use. Due to the nature of fiberglass and the manufacturing process, Duraflex fenders and fender flares are not direct bolt-on parts. They often require significant preparation, such as trimming, cutting, sanding, fitting, or adding fiberglass. Custom bodywork may also be needed, and issues like warping or fitment challenges can arise if not installed properly.
Fender Flares
Duraflex fender flares extend the wheel arch, providing a more aggressive stance that often complements a full body kit. Depending on the style, some fender flares may need to be attached using rivet nuts with a rubber gasket between the flare and the original fender—neither of which is included. More aggressive flares may also require cutting and rolling the original fender to allow for greater wheel clearance and a lower stance. Adjustments during installation are common due to the nature of fiberglass, and care must be taken to ensure proper alignment and fitment to avoid gaps or uneven surfaces.
Fenders
Duraflex fenders provide a sleek, customized appearance to vehicles. These lightweight fiberglass replacements often require additional reinforcement around the A-pillar and fender mounting flange for durability and a secure fit. Trimming and reshaping may be necessary to align the fender with the vehicle’s mounting points. Modifications to factory components, such as removing fender liners or adjusting brackets, may also be required for proper installation.
For optimal results, Duraflex recommends professional installation by a custom shop experienced in fiberglass work. Traditional auto repair shops may not have the expertise needed for the precise trimming, cutting, or modifying required for fiberglass components.
