Door Caps
Aero Function door caps typically overlap the existing door to extend the styling of a matching body kit. They are usually installed using bolts, 3M automotive trim tape, or specialized bonding adhesive. Modifications may be required to the vehicle’s original doors, and trimming or reshaping may be necessary to achieve a secure fit. Door caps are purely cosmetic and do not enhance structural integrity or safety. It's essential to ensure compatibility with the vehicle’s design and the body kit before installation.
Replacement Doors
Aero Function replacement doors are intended for track use only and offer no protective features for street driving. These lightweight doors are specifically designed for racing or off-road use on fully caged vehicles equipped with door bars for added safety. They do not provide the structural strength required for street use and are not street-legal. Installation of Aero Function replacement doors may require cutting, trimming, and reshaping, along with sourcing separate mounting hardware such as bolts and fasteners. Modifications to the vehicle’s door frame are often necessary for proper fitment.
For the best results, Aero Function strongly recommends professional installation by a custom shop experienced in handling aftermarket components. Traditional auto repair shops may not possess the expertise needed to properly trim, cut, or modify for these applications.
